In 1958, the architectural concept emerged, winning first prize in a competition for the design collective of Š. Ďurkovič, F. Milučký, and V. Ružek. A decade later, F. Milučký developed a definitive project, relocating it to the edge of the old spa park for better visibility. Milučký's aesthetic approach, characterized by flowing space and repeating elements, remains timeless despite changing styles and political contexts. This abstract formalism, valued even by Communist authorities, emphasizes materiality and aesthetics, qualities often marginalized by modernism.

In Košice's old center, the civil marriage hall complements the town council building with a prominent mansard roof, blending modern design with the existing structure. The architect connected the old and new halls, emphasizing a diagonal composition within a square outline. Ceiling lights highlight the ceremonial table and front wall. The windowless hall in the roof space appears wider with strategically placed wall mirrors. Natural materials like stone and wood adorn the vestibule and communication areas. The interiors feature various artworks, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

The Slovak National Gallery, established in 1948, found its home in the former water barracks on Medena Street in Bratislava. Initially repurposed in 1955, the building's expansion by architect Vladimír Dedeček in 1964 introduced simple panel structures, with the main exhibition space elevated on pilings. Dedeček's 1967 update altered the main exhibition wing's architectural forms, featuring a truss beam "bridging" system. After 1989, glass coverings were reconstructed, leading to issues and the 2001 closure of the southern wing. Following extensive discussions, a reconstruction plan was initiated, winning the BKPŠ studio's proposal in a two-round architectural competition. The renovated gallery reopened 21 years after closure.

Completed in 1985 after a series of competitions in the 1960s, the radio building in Bratislava is a controversial structure with its inverted pyramid shape. The unconventional design has sparked both praise and criticism. Functionally, it has faced challenges for radio broadcasting due to excessive noise, despite well-insulated main studios in the plinth. Originally planned as part of a greenbelt with large public structures along a circular boulevard, the building's divisive form cannot overshadow its impressive scale and refined architectural composition.

The school, founded in 1955, was constructed on the former airport grounds on Nitra's left bank. Using a pavilion system, the design prioritized flexibility, green integration, clarity, and phased construction. The main auditorium, connected by a corridor, has a 600-seat capacity. The complex includes a nine-story building and seven-story pavilions with specialized facilities. The architectural style reflects the lightness and openness of the late 1950s, reminiscent of Brazil's capital. Overall, the university complex is considered one of the finest works of its time in Slovakia.

The modern Thermal hotel complex and spa sanatorium, built in the functionalist style between 1967 and 1976 by Czech architects Věra and Vladimír Machonin, features a sixteen-story reinforced concrete structure connected to a congress center. Situated in Karlovy Vary, it annually serves as the central venue for the International Film Festival.

In Senetářov on Blanensko, the Church of St. Joseph, a unique modern structure built in 1971 during the socialist era and inspired by the works of French architect Le Corbusier, stands as one of the few sacral buildings from that period in Czechoslovakia, featuring a boat-shaped design symbolizing life's journey and faith, accompanied by a Baroque statue of St. Joseph and a 14th-century Madonna statue.

In the 1980s, a six-story house with a blue enamel facade and green windows in a moderate brutalist style filled a gap in the historic area. Despite its bold colors, the Teplotechna building harmonizes with its surroundings. Sculptor Miloslav Chlupáč contributed to the exterior design, seen also in the National Museum's New Building. The structure, initially intended as a dormitory, now houses Teplotechna's corporate administration, with hotel suites on the top floor and a bistro on the ground floor.

Kleiburg, a major Dutch apartment building, faced demolition but was saved by offering it for one euro. Consortium De FLAT's winning proposal turned it into a Klusflat, letting residents customize their apartments economically. The renovation preserved the building's structure, revealing its intrinsic beauty. Changes included removing exterior additions, relocating storage to activate the ground level, and improving the facade with personalized options. Kleiburg's transformation showcases a unique, cost-effective approach to urban renewal.
